City living can be tough on any body. The perfect antidote to working (or partying) hard is our signature combo-service, the 90-minute CityCleanse℠ massage, which restores and rejuvenates on multiple levels. Treatment begins with an exfoliation dry glove scrub to support the lymphatic system – the body’s waste management system – while also stimulating circulation and removing dead skin cells. This is followed with a deep tissue or swedish massage. Therapeutic grade essential oils will be used at your request and customized for your specific issues (if any).  A warm castor oil pack placed over the abdomen supports liver function while the therapist works reflexology cleanse points on the feet. The session ends with a cranial, neck and shoulder massage to clear and invigorate the mind. Clients leave feeling clean, refreshed and ready to get back in the game.  A complimentary cup of herbal milk thistle tea (optional) will follow treatment.

Massage therapist using hot stones on a client's back.

hot stone massage

  • 60 min: $170
  • 90 min: $240

Hot Stone massage is a specialized treatment integrating heated smooth volcanic stones throughout a basic massage session. The warm stones are actively moved on your body and never left "sitting" along your back—contrary to what you may have seen in spa photographs. Hot Stone massage is great during cold months to help soften muscles and target tight areas, allowing your massage therapist to work more effectively. Our hot stones are carefully heated and sanitized for each treatment. Hot Stone massage is not recommended if you have high blood pressure or diabetes, or if you are pregnant. 90 minutes is suggested for the full benefits of this deeply relaxing service.

CityTouch will also provide aromatherapy and other room relaxation enhancements upon request. Chair massage is safe and beneficial for pregnant clients (after the first trimester).  For very large events, we recommend requesting our carefully vetted team of licensed massage therapists. Please contact CityTouch well in advance of your event with a firm date, time and projected number of participants.

Massage therapist pressing on the solar plexus reflexology points on a client's feet.

therapeutic reflexology

  • $60 min: $140

More than just a hand or foot massage, reflexology focuses on pressure points along the feet and hands correlating to specific zones in the body. A reflexology session helps balance the body, encouraging its self-healing and regenerative abilities. Sessions begin with tea tree and lavender hot towel compresses applied to the feet or hands to refresh and soothe aching muscles. The therapist then engages reflexology points with hand and finger pressure to address the client’s unique concerns. Reflexology can be used to address mental issues as well as physical, including digestive, circulatory and other problems. Many people find reflexology to be deeply relaxing, and it's an excellent option for clients with medical conditions that prohibit full-body massage.

Pregnant mother in side-lying position.

prenatal therapeutic massage

  • 60 min: $150
  • 90 min: $218*

Prenatal massage is an excellent way for expectant mothers to relax and release the tensions that inevitably develop in their changing bodies. Regular massage throughout pregnancy can help women prepare for the birth experience -- ask us about our series packages! Prenatal sessions are done side-lying with a supportive grouping of pillows -- a relaxing, comfortable and safe position. Our therapists are trained to avoid contraindicated areas and are not afraid to use a firm pressure (according to the client’s desires and needs) to provide a satisfying and effective massage. As with all our massages, a gentle, food-grade massage oil is used. Essential oils deemed safe for pregnancy may also be used.

Please note: Massage is is contraindicated in the first trimester. Please wait until the fourth month to schedule your massage. However, you may schedule massages all the way up to your due date and beyond.

Frequently Asked Questions

I never had a massage before. What should I expect?

Many new clients, especially if they’ve never had a massage before, may be nervous when arriving for their first massage appointment. At CityTouch, we make sure your experience is a positive one.

A licensed massage therapist will review a detailed health intake with you before providing any massage services. This important step helps the massage therapist better understand your needs and provide the safest possible massage services. All information given to the massage therapist is confidential under HIPPA guidelines and may be released to your doctor only with your written permission. After a brief conversation with your massage therapist, and possible muscle assessment or postural tests, your therapist will introduce you to the treatment room.

You can download, print and fill out our intake form prior to your appointment to save time. Please bring the signed, completed form with you to your appointment. Forms are available at our offices as well if you are unable to print the form.

Please arrive 15-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time, to give you time to get settled and so that we can start the massage promptly. We are unable to go over the scheduled end time due to subsequent bookings.

During my massage should I leave my clothes on or get fully undressed?

A licensed massage therapist will always practice industry guideline draping techniques.  Draping is where the massage therapist folds and tucks the towel or sheet around your body, only exposing the areas to be worked on. Many regular clients prefer to be fully undressed with draping. If you feel more comfortable leaving your loose-fitting underwear on, that is totally fine -- and you will still be draped. To access certain areas such as the back or glutes, removing your bra strap and/or removing undergarments (with draping) will help the massage therapist work these muscles at a greater depth.

Do I need to tip my therapist?

A 20% gratuity is included in the price of your massage at CityTouch. CityTouch is owned and operated by a licensed massage therapist who believes in above-industry-standard payment for licensed massage therapists. We practice therapeutic massage therapy and charge accordingly.

I arrived with a lot of pain, but after the massage the pain is still there!

While massage therapy will assist with pain relief, it may take several hours after your massage for the pain relief effects to kick-in. Additional sessions may be needed to reduce pain for chronic conditions.  When you join a gym and want to get into shape, you don't expect to reach your goal with a single workout.

Massage therapy, when applied correctly, may require more than one session to achieve your pain relief goals. If you are suffering from an injury or condition beyond the scope of massage therapy, we will refer you to someone who can best help you.

Who should I choose for my massage therapist?

Always check the background training and licensing information for any massage therapist in New York State before you make an appointment with them. In New York State, it’s a felony to practice massage therapy without a license. You can quickly check the licensing information for any massage therapist in New York State online.  Licensed massage therapists should display their state registration clearly in the room they are working.

Some clients may prefer working with a female or male therapist only -- and that is understandable for any reason. However, researching the background and training information for each therapist, regardless of their gender, will help you find the best therapist for your specific massage therapy goals.

What are your cancellation and reschedule policies?

24-hour notice is required if you must cancel or reschedule your appointment. If less than 24-hours notice is given and the appointment cannot be filled, you will be charged the full price of the service. Same-day appointments cancelled more than 1 hour after being made will be charged in full. No shows are charged in full. We reserve the right to give away your appointment if you are more than 15 minutes late.  By agreeing to this policy, you are authorizing the use of your credit card for the scheduled appointment.

How do I make an appointment?

You can either book online, email or text us at (917) 562-2285. A credit card is required to reserve your appointment.
